Good Afternoon CCFW Network!
As some of you may know, Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW) welcomed NPR reporter Kavitha Cardoza out of Washington D.C. to our campus in March of this year. Specifically, she wanted to follow along and report on our Padua Pilot, a grand experiment in partnership with Notre Dame's Lab for Economic Opportunities and Catholic Charities USA, to determine whether or not we can truly end poverty for families over a 3-5 year time frame through holistic case management, collaborative non-profit partnerships, and a strengths-based asset model.
Kavitha focuses her reporting expertise on poverty, and has received outside funding to report accurately and honestly about the successes and challenges of our work. And while we don't yet know the full outcome of our pilot, or the stories she will tell, we are excited that she's embarked on her first series to share how we challenge the status quo on poverty.
This week, she is featuring a five part series. You can listen in or read yesterday's introduction here. You can hear from our own Frank Santoni (Senior Director of Research and Innovation) and myself on today's interview clip here. Stay tuned the rest of the week as she will wrap up the series on Friday.
Thank you for all you do to support us in our poverty-ending work, and feel free to share this information from our social media channels or in your own circle of friends.
With Gratitude,
